Three Service Pillars

Three sides of the same shop

Hydraulic on the valve side. Electronic on the drive side. Donor-parts and exchange on the inventory side. The same techs and the same bench cover all three.

01

Hydraulic valve repair

Servo valves, proportional valves, cartridge valves, and directional control bodies rebuilt at the component level.

  • Pilot stage cleaning and trim
  • Spool service and seal kits
  • Coil rebuild and onboard driver work
  • Bench testing on hydraulic stands

Service Lanes

Six lanes of repair work

The shop is structured around the same set of jobs whether the unit is a hydraulic valve, a servo drive, or an electronic control card.

01

Component-level rebuild

Open the unit, find what failed, replace the individual components. No box-swapping.

02

Bench testing

13 hydraulic test stands plus an electronics bench. Documented procedures by family.

03

Donor parts service

19,000+ unit pool. Aftermarket and donor parts for hardware the OEM no longer stocks.

04

Rebuilt swap-with-discount

Trade in your failed unit for a discount on a rebuilt match if we have one on the shelf.

05

Cross-brand sourcing

If your unit is beyond economic repair and not on the shelf, we suggest a comparable cross-brand option that drops in.

06

Mechanical & electronic repair

In-house spool machining and lap restoration on the hydraulic side; component-level board repair on servo drives, amplifiers, and onboard valve electronics on the drive side.

In the Shop

Hydraulic bench, electronics bench, and a deep parts shelf

The shop runs side-by-side hydraulic and electronics benches in Westland, Michigan. Hydraulic units go on a Hagen-Busch or older-style test stand depending on the family. Electronic drives go on the electronics bench under load. The 19,000+ unit parts pool sits on the same floor, so donor parts come off the shelf without a sourcing delay.

Performance graphs and detailed test data are available on request. The shop has worked on this kind of hardware since 1975.

Where We Serve

Industries the bench has seen

The same hydraulic and electronic hardware moves between very different machines. The shop has worked across these application contexts since 1975.

Plastics

Injection molding

Servo and proportional valves on injection, clamp, and ejector circuits.

CNC

Machine tool & CNC

Servo drives and amplifiers on machining centers, grinders, and tool feeds.

Press

Hydraulic press

Force-control proportional valves on stamping and forming presses.

Steel

Steel mill & rolling

Roll-force valves and high-power AC drives on rolling mills.

Aero

Aerospace & defense

Jet-pipe servo valves on flight controls, simulators, and turbine governors.

Energy

Power & energy

Steam and gas turbine valves, power-generation drives, wind turbine pitch.

Pkg

Packaging & printing

Servo drives on filling, capping, web-fed printing, and converting lines.

Mobile

Mobile & off-highway

Hydraulic valves on construction, marine, and mobile equipment.

Bench Verification

Each unit gets verified before ship

Hydraulic units run on the Hagen-Busch and older-style stands. Electronic drives run under load on the electronics bench. Performance graphs and detailed test data are available on request.

Workflow

From part number to ship-back

Same four-step path through the shop whether the unit is a discontinued 1970s servo valve, a current proportional with onboard electronics, or a modern servo drive with EtherCAT.

  1. 01

    Get in touch

Call or email with the part number, fault code, machine context, or a photo of the nameplate.

  2. 02

    Bench review

Tech opens the unit, inspects internals, and runs it on the appropriate test stand to confirm what failed.

  3. 03

    Cost & approval

We call back with the cost and a rough turnaround. Nothing is started without your sign-off.

  4. 04

    Repair, test, ship

Failed components replaced from inventory or off donors, the unit verified under load or pressure, and shipped back.

FAQ

Common questions

Service-level questions covering both valve and drive work. For brand-specific FAQs, see the dedicated brand pages or category hubs.

Do you repair both hydraulic valves and servo drives?

Yes. The shop runs side-by-side hydraulic and electronics benches. Hydraulic valves go on the test stands; electronic drives go on the electronics bench under load. Same techs, same shop, same warranty.

What about hydraulic pumps and motors?

We focus on hydraulic valves and electronic drives. We do not repair hydraulic pumps or rotating-equipment motors. Pump-side work stays with your pump shop or in-house team.

Do you offer on-site service?

The shop is bench-based; customers ship units in and we ship them back. We do not run an on-site field-service team.

What if my unit is beyond economic repair?

If the unit is not fixable, we will let you know and help source a replacement: a rebuilt match if we have one on the shelf, or a comparable cross-brand alternative.

Can NC Servo recover programs from valves or drives with onboard electronics?

Most failures are hardware, and the unit comes back working with its program intact. Corrupted programs are rare; if one is already corrupted before the unit reaches us, that's the one thing we can't recover.

Do you provide test documentation?

Each repaired unit is bench-tested before it ships. Performance graphs and detailed test data are available on request.

What is the warranty?

One year on parts and workmanship for repairs and rebuilt units. Standard exclusions apply for contamination, improper installation, line-side faults, and out-of-spec operation.

Send a unit in, we'll check the shelf

Give us a call or send a part number. We'll check the donor pool, suggest a rebuilt match if we have one, and walk through repair or cross-brand options if we don't.
