Part-Number Anatomy

Decoding an Atos part number

Atos packs every build option into the part-number suffix. Below is a representative example we have seen on the bench. The actual decode varies by family, but the structure is consistent: each block of characters maps to a specific spec on the unit.

DLKZ0R-TEB-SN-NP-140-L71-20
DLKZ0R Family: cartridge servoproportional with LVDT feedback
TEB Onboard digital electronics
SN Spool option
NP Port and connector configuration
140 Rated pressure or size code
L71 Solenoid / coil option
20 Build / revision code

Service Coverage

What NC Servo does with an Atos valve

Atos valves often arrive with their LVDT feedback open or out of trim. The shop opens each unit, verifies the feedback path, and rebuilds the valve at the component level using parts from inventory or pulled off donor units when needed.

DLHZO subplate proportional

ISO size 06 subplate-mounted Atos proportional valves. Spool service, coil rebuild, seal kits, and onboard driver-card checks where the model has integrated electronics.

DLKZOR cartridge servoproportional

ISO sizes 06 to 32 cartridge servoproportional valves with LVDT position feedback. Pilot stage cleaning, spool service, LVDT verification, and bench testing.

Pressure, flow, and speed controls

Atos pressure valves, flow valves, and pressure-compensated speed controls. Body internals, poppet seats, and signal-conditioning electronics.

Atos Coverage

Atos families through the door

We are a small repair shop, not an Atos distributor. The families below are simply the ones that come through often enough to be familiar. If your part number is not on this list, send it anyway. We work on what we can.

DLHZO series ISO size 06 subplate-mounted proportional directional valves with onboard digital electronics.
DLKZOR series ISO sizes 06-32 cartridge servoproportional valves with LVDT position feedback. Examples: DLKZ0R-TEB-SN-NP-140-L71-20.
Pressure and flow valves Atos pressure control valves, flow control valves, and pressure-compensated speed controls.
Discontinued and obsolete Older Atos lines the OEM no longer services. Donor parts from inventory keep these in service.

Common Faults

What usually shows up on an Atos repair

A description of the symptom helps the diagnosis, but a part number is often enough. The categories below cover the kinds of trouble that come in across Atos servoproportional and proportional valves.

LVDT and feedback LVDT signal drift, broken feedback wires, position-feedback null shift, or signal-conditioning faults on the onboard driver card.
Spool and body Spool wear, contamination scoring, sticky spool action, internal leakage past the spool, or seal failure on the cartridge or subplate body.
Coils and onboard driver Burned proportional coils, failed TEB digital electronics, blown output stages, or open windings on the pilot stage.
Connector and electrical Damaged or corroded connectors, cable strain at the entry point, and contamination on the connector pins after years of service.

Repair Path

From part number to ship-back

Most Atos jobs follow the same four steps. Lead time varies because some repairs need parts pulled off a donor unit, so we only commit to timing once a tech has the valve in hand.

Get in touch

Phone or email with the full Atos part-number string, a quick note on the symptom, and a photo of the nameplate if it helps.

Bench review

Once the unit arrives, a tech opens it, inspects spool and LVDT, and runs it on the hydraulic stand to confirm what failed.

Cost & approval

We call back with the cost and a rough turnaround. Nothing happens without your sign-off.

Repair, test, ship

Failed components are replaced from inventory or off donors, the valve is verified under pressure, and the unit ships back.

Bench Verification

Each Atos valve gets pressurized before ship

Repaired Atos valves are checked on the hydraulic test stands before they leave. Flow, pressure gain, response, null, and LVDT signal are verified against documented procedures for the family.

  • Flow characterization across the operating range for the model.
  • Pressure gain and step-response measurement against documented procedures.
  • LVDT position-feedback verification across the full stroke.
  • Internal and external leakage checked after seal and spool work.

Inventory & Parts Pool

A 19,000+ unit pool with Atos hardware in it

NC Servo's in-house inventory holds over 19,000 valves and drives accumulated since 1975, including DLHZO, DLKZOR, and other Atos servoproportional bodies. That pool is where the shop pulls aftermarket parts and donor components for older Atos units that the OEM no longer stocks.

  • Aftermarket and donor parts for Atos DLHZO, DLKZOR, pressure, and flow valves.
  • If we have a rebuilt match for your part number, trade in your old valve for a discount on the rebuilt.
  • No match on the shelf? We can suggest a comparable Atos or cross-brand option, or repair yours.
  • Rebuilt valves carry the same 1-year warranty as a fresh repair.

Repair Scope

Where the line is on an Atos repair

NC Servo works on the valve hardware itself: the body, spool, coils, LVDT feedback, and onboard driver-card components. Hydraulic system design, fluid selection, and getting the valve back on the machine stay with your team or your installer.

  • Internal valve work: spool service, seal replacement, coil rebuild, LVDT verification.
  • Onboard driver-card service on TEB-equipped units.
  • System pressure setup and hydraulic schematic decisions remain on your side.
  • Putting the valve back on the machine follows your normal startup process.

Atos valve down?

Give us a call with the full part-number string off the nameplate, a photo, or a quick description of the symptom. We will check the shelf, and if we have a rebuilt match you can swap your old one for a discount. If we do not, we can suggest a comparable valve or repair the one you have.

FAQ

Common questions about Atos repair

A few things customers ask before sending a unit in. Anything not covered, give us a call at 734-326-6666.

Is NC Servo affiliated with Atos?

No. NC Servo Technology is an independent, third-party repair facility and is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Atos S.p.A. or any related entities. All Atos trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

Which Atos products are in scope?

Servoproportional directional valves with LVDT position feedback, DLHZO subplate-mounted proportional valves (ISO size 06), DLKZOR cartridge proportional valves (ISO sizes 06 to 32), pressure valves, flow valves, and pressure-compensated speed controls. Send a part number to confirm coverage on anything not listed.

Do you read Atos part-number strings?

Yes. Atos part numbers like DLKZ0R-TEB-SN-NP-140-L71-20 carry every option of the build into the suffix: spool, electronics, port arrangement, pressure rating, and feedback type. Send the full string. The suffix is what tells us exactly which configuration we are looking at.

Can NC Servo recover programs from a failed Atos TEB digital valve?

Most failures are hardware, and the unit comes back working with its program intact. Corrupted programs are rare; if one is already corrupted before the unit reaches us, that's the one thing we can't recover.

How long does an Atos repair take?

It varies. NC Servo is a small independent shop, and lead time depends on the valve, what is wrong with it, and whether parts have to come off a donor unit. Give us a call once the unit ships in, and we can give a current estimate after a tech has looked at it.

What if the Atos valve is beyond economic repair?

If the valve is not fixable, we will let you know and help source a replacement: a rebuilt match if we have one on the shelf, or a comparable Atos or cross-brand alternative.

What is the warranty on an Atos repair?

One year on parts and workmanship for repairs and rebuilt units. Standard exclusions apply for contamination, improper installation, and out-of-spec operation. Flushing and filtering the hydraulic system before reinstalling a repaired valve is recommended.
