Third-Party Bosch 0811 Series Valve Repair

Independent third-party repair of Bosch hydraulic valves, with the 0811 series at the core. 0811 402 and 0811 404 directional and proportional configurations, plus pressure-control valves and pilot- operated assemblies. Backed by a 19,000+ unit in-house inventory we pull aftermarket and donor parts from. NC Servo is not affiliated with Bosch. Working on this kind of hardware since 1975.

The 0811 Family

If your Bosch part number starts with 0811, this is the page

The 0811 series is Bosch's signature hydraulic valve family. Most of the Bosch units that come through the shop carry a part number that begins 0811 followed by six digits (a sub-family code, then a specific configuration). The breakdown below covers the sub-families seen most often.

  • 0811 402: solenoid valves and pilot-control units in the smaller body sizes.
  • 0811 404: proportional directional valves, including the most-repaired 605, 670, 661, and 184 variants.
  • Pilot-operated configurations: pilot-stage cleaning, coil rebuild, and seal replacement.
  • Discontinued and legacy 0811 part numbers kept in service with donor parts from inventory.

Service Coverage

What NC Servo does with Bosch valves

NC Servo opens each Bosch valve, finds what failed, and rebuilds it at the component level. Most jobs on the bench are 0811-family units, but pressure-control valves and pilot-operated directional valves from the broader Bosch hydraulic range also come through.

0811 proportional & directional

The bulk of the Bosch work. Spool service, ultrasonic cleaning of the body, seal and spring replacement, pilot solenoid coil rebuild, and bench testing.

Pressure and flow control

Bosch pressure-relief and pressure-reducing valves, plus pilot-operated flow control. Pilot-stage rebuild and calibration.

Discontinued Bosch hardware

Older 0811 part numbers and Bosch hydraulics the OEM no longer stocks. If we have donor parts for the family, we can usually keep an older unit in service.

Bosch Sub-Families

Bosch 0811 sub-families on the bench

We are a small repair shop, not a Bosch distributor. The sub-families below are the ones that come through the door often enough to be familiar. If your part number does not match the patterns below, send it in anyway.

0811 402 series Smaller-body solenoid and pilot-control valves. Common variant: 0811 402 165 (pictured in the hero).
0811 404 directional Proportional directional control valves. Heavy hitters: 0811 404 605, 670, 661, 184, 046.
Pilot-operated configurations Pilot-operated 0811 valves with onboard solenoid pilots. Coil work and pilot-stage cleaning.
Pressure & flow control Bosch pressure-relief, pressure-reducing, and flow-control valves outside the 0811 directional line.

Common Faults

What usually shows up on a Bosch 0811

A description of how the valve was acting before it quit helps the diagnosis, but a part number is often enough. The categories below cover the kinds of trouble that show up on Bosch 0811 hardware.

Coils and electrical Burned solenoid coils, no actuation under command, intermittent switching, or low resistance on the pilot solenoid.
Spool and body Spool wear, contamination scoring, sticky spool action, internal leakage past the spool, or sluggish step response.
Pilot stage and feedback Pilot-stage contamination, position-feedback faults, null shift, or onboard control-electronics failures.
Physical condition Heat damage, contamination evidence, corroded connectors, damaged housing, or evidence of prior repair attempts.

Path on the Bench

From part number to ship-back

Most Bosch jobs follow the same four steps. Lead time varies because some 0811 repairs need parts pulled off a donor unit, so we only commit to timing once a tech has the valve.

Part number first

Phone or email with the 0811 part number and a quick note on the symptom. The shop picks up from there.

Open and inspect

Once the unit arrives, a tech disassembles the body, ultrasonic-cleans internals, and checks the pilot solenoid and spool.

Cost & approval

We call back with the cost and a rough turnaround. Nothing happens without your sign-off.

Rebuild & ship

Failed components are replaced from inventory or off donors, the valve is verified on the hydraulic stand, and it ships back.

Bench Verification

Each Bosch repair gets pressurized before it ships

Repaired Bosch 0811 valves run on the Hagen-Busch hydraulic test stand. Older Bosch hardware that does not fit the modern stand goes on the legacy stands the shop has kept around for that kind of work. The valve gets checked under pressure before it ships back.

  • Hagen-Busch stand for current Bosch 0811 valves and onboard pilot solenoids.
  • Older legacy stands kept on hand for discontinued Bosch models.
  • Flow, pressure, response time, and leakage checked against documented procedures.
  • Repair backed by a 1-year warranty on parts and workmanship.

Inventory & Parts Pool

A 19,000+ unit pool, with 0811 hardware in it

NC Servo's in-house inventory holds over 19,000 hydraulic valves and drives accumulated since 1975, with a healthy share of 0811-series Bosch units. That pool is where the shop pulls aftermarket parts, donor components for older 0811 sub-families, and rebuilt valves when a swap saves time.

  • Aftermarket and donor parts pulled from inventory for 0811 402, 0811 404, and pilot-operated configurations.
  • If we have a rebuilt match for your 0811 part number, trade in your old valve for a discount on the rebuilt.
  • No match on the shelf? We can suggest a comparable Bosch or cross-brand option, or repair yours.
  • Rebuilt units carry the same 1-year warranty as a fresh repair.

Need a Bosch 0811 looked at?

Give us a call with the 0811 part number, a photo of the nameplate, or a short description of the symptom. We will check the shelf, and if we have a rebuilt match you can swap your old one for a discount. If we do not, we can suggest a comparable valve or repair the one you have.

FAQ

Common questions about Bosch repair

A few things customers ask before sending a unit in. Anything not covered, give us a call at 734-326-6666.

Is NC Servo affiliated with Bosch?

No. NC Servo Technology is an independent, third-party repair facility and is not affiliated with, authorized by, or endorsed by Robert Bosch GmbH or any related entities. All Bosch trademarks are the property of their respective owners.

What is the difference between Bosch and Bosch Rexroth valves?

They are related but separate hardware families under the same parent. Bosch-branded hydraulics focus on proportional and directional valves (like the 0811 series) used on mobile and industrial machinery. Bosch Rexroth covers a much broader hydraulic-systems range that came from the 2001 Rexroth acquisition. We service both. The Rexroth and Bosch Rexroth pages cover the wider Rexroth-derived range.

Which Bosch valves do you cover?

Bosch 0811 series proportional and directional valves (0811 402, 0811 404 sub-families including 0811 404 605, 0811 404 670, 0811 404 661, 0811 404 184), pilot-operated configurations, and Bosch pressure-control valves used in mobile and industrial hydraulics. Send a part number to confirm coverage on anything not listed.

What does a Bosch 0811 repair actually involve?

Typical 0811 work: ultrasonic cleaning of the body, spool service, replacement of seals and springs, pilot solenoid coil rebuild, and bench testing on the hydraulic stand. Calibration of any onboard control electronics where the model has them.

How long does a Bosch valve repair take?

It varies. NC Servo is a small independent shop, and lead time depends on the unit, what is wrong with it, and whether parts have to come off a donor unit. Give us a call once the unit ships in, and we can give a current estimate after a tech has looked at it.

What happens if the valve is beyond economic repair?

If the valve is not fixable, we will let you know and help source a replacement: a rebuilt match if we have one on the shelf, or a comparable Bosch or cross-brand alternative.

What is the warranty on a Bosch repair?

One year on parts and workmanship for repairs and rebuilt units. Standard exclusions apply for contamination, improper installation, and out-of-spec operation. Flushing and filtering the hydraulic system before reinstalling a repaired valve is recommended.
