Toshiba Machine Servo Valve Repair

Independent third-party component-level repair of servo and proportional valves on Toshiba Machine (now Shibaura Machine) injection molding equipment: IS, DC, EC-SX, and IS-SXIII Hybrid platforms. Bosch Rexroth 4WRPEH / 4WRSE, Moog servo, and Yuken proportional bodies come through the bench.

Where These Valves Sit

Four Toshiba / Shibaura machine contexts

Below are the four common platforms seen at the bench across Toshiba Machine and Shibaura Machine generations.

01

IS series

Full hydraulic IMM 80-3000 tons (IS130GS through IS3000). Rexroth 4WRPEH / 4WRSE proportional, Moog servo, and Yuken bodies come off these for rebuild.

02

DC series

Die-casting and high-tonnage 450-4000 tons. Proportional and servo valves come through routinely.

03

EC-SX / EC-SXIII Hybrid

Electric-hydraulic hybrid 50-500 tons. Proportional valves come off these for rebuild.

04

IS-SXIII Hybrid

Hydraulic injection with electric drive assistance. Proportional valves come through routinely.

What NC Servo Does

Component-level repair on Toshiba / Shibaura valves

Each unit is opened, inspected, and rebuilt at the component level. Failed parts come from inventory or off donor units. Bench verification before ship.

Pilot stage rebuild

Pilot service on Rexroth 4WRPEH / 4WRSE and Moog servo bodies. Alignment and trim against documented procedures.

Spool & sleeve service

Spool wear, contamination scoring, and lap restoration on the servo and proportional valve bodies that come off Toshiba / Shibaura machines.

Coil & electronics

Coil rebuild on Rexroth proportional valves, component-level board work on integrated electronics, and feedback-channel verification.

Bench testing

Hagen-Busch and older-style hydraulic stands. Hysteresis, null shift, and step response data on request.

Donor parts service

Aftermarket and donor parts for legacy Toshiba / Shibaura valves on older platforms.

Repair scope

Bench-level component work on the valve hardware. INJECTVISOR programming, machine parameter setup, and integration stay with the customer.

Common Faults

What usually shows up on Toshiba / Shibaura valves

Common failure modes seen on Toshiba / Shibaura valves at the bench.

Spool contaminationSpool contamination, worn feedback sensors, and degraded coils on Rexroth 4WRPEH / 4WRSE and Moog servo bodies.
Internal leakageProportional valve internal leakage, spool stiction, and worn lap surfaces past the metering edges.
Hysteresis & dead-bandServo valve dynamic response degradation, dead-band drift, and amplifier drift on aged bodies.
Coil & mechanical wearCoil insulation breakdown and mechanical wear on closed-loop bodies after years of cycling.

Workflow

From part number to ship-back

Same four-step path through the shop whether the unit came off a Toshiba IS or a Shibaura EC-SX hybrid.

  1. 01

    Get in touch

Call or email with the part number, machine model, and a photo of the nameplate if it helps.

  2. 02

    Bench review

Tech opens the unit, inspects pilot and spool, and runs it on the hydraulic stand to confirm what failed.

  3. 03

    Cost & approval

We call back with the cost and a rough turnaround. Nothing is started without your sign-off.

  4. 04

    Repair, test, ship

Failed components replaced from inventory or off donors, the valve verified under pressure, and shipped back.

FAQ

Common questions about Toshiba / Shibaura valve repair

Application-specific questions. For brand-specific FAQs, see the dedicated brand page above.

What proportional valve brands come off Toshiba / Shibaura machines?

Toshiba Machine and Shibaura Machine IS, DC, EC-SX, and IS-SXIII Hybrid platforms typically run Bosch Rexroth 4WRPEH and 4WRSE proportional valves, Moog servo valves on larger machines, and Yuken proportional valves on select configurations. All come off the bench for rebuild.

Can you repair valves on EC-SX and IS-SXIII hybrid machines?

Yes. Hybrid machines combine electric and hydraulic systems. Proportional valves come off the hydraulic side of these machines for rebuild.

What about INJECTVISOR-controlled valves?

INJECTVISOR is the Toshiba / Shibaura controller. The hydraulic valves it commands are commercial Rexroth, Moog, and Yuken bodies. NC Servo handles the valve hardware repair; INJECTVISOR parameter setup stays with the customer or OEM.

How long does a repair usually take?

Lead time varies job to job, partly because parts are often pulled from donor boards. Give us a call with the part number and the situation.

Do you provide Toshiba / Shibaura machine programming?

No. NC Servo handles bench-level component repair on the valve hardware only. INJECTVISOR programming, parameter setup, and integration stay with the customer or OEM.

What if the valve is beyond economic repair?

If the valve is not fixable, we will let you know and help source a replacement.

What is the warranty?

One year on parts and workmanship for repairs and rebuilt units. Standard exclusions apply for contamination, improper installation, and out-of-spec operation.

Toshiba valve down? Send a part number

Give us a call or send a part number with the machine model and the symptom. We'll check the donor pool, suggest a rebuilt match if we have one, and walk through repair or cross-brand options if we don't.
