Arburg Servo Valve Repair & Bench Testing

Independent third-party repair of servo and proportional valves on Arburg Allrounder injection molding machines: S Series, Hidrive, Hydronica, and Golden Edition. Bosch Rexroth 4WRPEH and Moog units rebuilt at the component level and verified on the same hydraulic stands the shop has run since 1975.

Where Arburg Valves Sit

Four Allrounder application contexts

Arburg Allrounder machines run a few signature hydraulic platforms. Below are four common contexts where Allrounder valves end up at the bench.

01

Allrounder S Series (35-500 ton)

Models 270S through 920S. Bosch Rexroth 4WRPEH and 4WRSE proportional valves come off these presses for rebuild.

02

Allrounder H / Hidrive (60-500 ton)

Hybrid Allrounder line. Rexroth servo-proportional valves and Moog servo valves come through routinely.

03

Allrounder Hydronica

Hydraulic Allrounder line. The same Rexroth proportional families seen on the S range come through.

04

Allrounder Golden Edition & legacy

Older Allrounder hardware running early Rexroth 4WRP, 4WRPE, and 4WRPEH proportional valves.

What NC Servo Does

Component-level work on Arburg valves

Each unit is opened, inspected, and rebuilt at the component level. Failed parts come from inventory or pulled off donor units. Bench verification before ship.

Spool & sleeve service

Spool wear, contamination scoring, and lap restoration on Rexroth 4WRPEH, 4WRSE, and Moog valve bodies.

Coil & electronics rebuild

Burned proportional coils, integrated drive electronics, position sensor faults on 4WRPEH integrated cards.

Pilot & torque motor

Pilot stage cleaning, torque motor null trim, and feedback wire repair on Moog D661 / D662 and Rexroth servo-proportional units.

Bench testing

Hydraulic stands for flow-curve, hysteresis, frequency response, and leak verification. Test data on request.

Donor parts pool

19,000+ unit in-house pool with legacy 4WRP and early 4WRPE bodies for older Allrounder hardware the OEM no longer supports.

Repair scope

Bench-level component work on the valve hardware. Allrounder PLC programming, parameter setup, and Selogica configuration stay with the customer or OEM.

Common Faults

What usually shows up on Arburg valves

Common failure modes seen on Arburg valves at the bench.

Spool & body Spool binding and wear in the sleeve from contamination, scored lap surfaces, sticky spool action, and internal leakage past the metering edges.
Coil & electronics Burned proportional coils, failed integrated electronics on 4WRPEH cards, and erratic current-to-position behavior after voltage spikes or moisture ingress.
Seals & leakage Hardened O-rings and dynamic seals causing internal cross-port leakage and external weeping at the body interface.
Hysteresis & dead-band Dead-band growth on Rexroth 4WRPEH or 4WRSE spools that pulls repeatability off the valve.

Workflow

From part number to ship-back

Same four-step path through the shop whether the unit is a Rexroth 4WRPEH proportional or a Moog servo valve off any Allrounder generation.

  1. 01

    Get in touch

Call or email with the part number, machine model, and a photo of the nameplate if it helps.

  2. 02

    Bench review

Tech opens the unit, inspects spool and electronics, and runs it on the hydraulic stand to confirm what failed.

  3. 03

    Cost & approval

We call back with the cost and a rough turnaround. Nothing is started without your sign-off.

  4. 04

    Repair, test, ship

Failed parts replaced from inventory or off donors, the valve verified under pressure, and shipped back.

FAQ

Common questions about Arburg valve repair

Application-specific questions on Allrounder hydraulics. For brand-specific FAQs, see the dedicated brand pages linked above.

Do you repair both Bosch Rexroth and Moog valves used on Arburg machines?

Yes. Both brands come through the bench routinely. Pilot stage, spool work, coil rebuild, and electronics covered.

Can you work on older Allrounder valves the OEM no longer supports?

Yes. Legacy Bosch Rexroth 4WRP and early 4WRPE proportional valves from older Allrounder machines come through the bench. The donor pool covers most of the parts that are no longer available new.

What about Selogica programming or machine parameter setup?

That side of the work stays with the customer or with Arburg. NC Servo handles the valve hardware: spools, seals, coils, and electronics at the component level. PLC programming, Selogica controller configuration, and machine integration are out of scope.

Do you provide test data with the repair?

Each repaired valve is bench-tested on the hydraulic stand before it ships. Flow-curve, hysteresis, and leak data are available on request.

What if my Arburg valve is beyond economic repair?

If the body is past saving we will let you know and help source a replacement.

What is the warranty?

One year on parts and workmanship for repairs and rebuilt units. Standard exclusions apply for contamination, improper installation, and out-of-spec operation. Flushing and filtering the hydraulic system before reinstalling a repaired valve is recommended.

Allrounder down? Send a part number

Give us a call or send a part number with the machine model. We'll check the donor pool, suggest a rebuilt match if we have one, and walk through repair or cross-brand options if we don't.
